How will you approach filming our wedding?
While our style is cinematic and nuanced, our approach on wedding days is comfortable and collaborative. We are thoughtful in the ways we anticipate and capture real moments intimately yet unobtrusively. We encourage you to be present while collaborating seamlessly with your photography team each step of the way. By the time we sit down to edit, we know your story, your personalities, and your values. That insight and intuition informs every editing choice we make. Significant preparation, relationship-building, and dedication defines how we produce each film!
What makes you and your films unique?
Our films are equally experiential and story-driven. Thoughtfully narrative in nature, each film’s energy is inherently reflective of the celebration as it unfolds and is distinguished by true-to-color, cinematic scenes. As a husband and wife team, we thrive on instant connections with our clients so they can feel comfortable to be their true selves in front of our lenses. We also prioritize our relationships with the creative team. Our approach to fostering collaboration well before the event ensures a shared vision and excellent experience for everyone. Ultimately, we are the perfect fit for those who envision their wedding as the most beautiful and joyful celebration of their story, because the most intentional celebrations result in the most cherished films.
Can you share about your offerings?
Collections traditionally include comprehensive wedding day coverage with Deanna & Grant as your exclusive lead filmmakers. Deliverables are produced in succession: first, a one-minute preview film, followed by a story-driven wedding film. We offer the option to add full-length films of formal events and extended weekend coverage across the multiple events of your celebration. We know that getting married looks different to everyone, and we want to give you the opportunity to determine what the best fit for your wedding may be, so we encourage you to inquire for a custom proposal that suits your needs.
What is your favorite aspect of filming weddings?
It is an honor to be welcomed into one of the most joyful, intimate, and celebratory experiences of a person’s life! The role of archiving the love stories of our couples is one that we treasure, because we know that our work only grows more valuable to them as time goes on. While we love filming, we would insist that the most important aspect of our work happens after the wedding when your film comes to life in editing. Our post-production process is of the highest caliber to ensure our clients’ films authentically honor them, their story, and their experience .
Do you always film as a husband-wife team?
Yes, we both act as lead cinematographers at each event. Working together allows us to give our couples comprehensive coverage, resulting in moments captured like scenes that draw them in and take them right back to how they felt. We thrive together because we each know our roles and move in sync throughout the day, ensuring smooth collaboration and unobtrusive capture of visuals and sound. We believe that our presence throughout planning and the wedding prepare us in the best possible way to create a wedding film collection that is reflective of our clients and their experience.
Will you travel for our wedding?
Yes. We are based out of Washington D.C. and serve couples in destinations worldwide. A travel quote will be customized for you based on your chosen location and number of filming days.
